Nvidia has announced their GTX 1080Ti GPU

I know ^_^, Just thought I'd give some context as to why I'm not able to spend any money this year :)

Even if I could get it which I may be able to with some careful budgeting, I want at least a 50% performance increase over the 1080 which means I'd have to wait for Volta anyway but I'm leaning more towards a full AMD system once Vega releases :)

We will see what VEGA brings I think AMD are playing strategically at the moment once they knew Nvidia was having a livestream the same day. I myself am waiting for VEGA atm

I'm gonna do an NBD and Alien and say 'I told you so'. ;) :D

I had a feeling the 1080ti was going to be aimed at beating the Titan XP or coming very close. The $700 price is surprising, though. I thought Nvidia would be ballsy enough for $750 or even $800, but $700 could really mess things up for AMD. It's a smirking middle finger their way. On top of that the 1080 price reduction with an additional overclock is anoter middle finger to those that bought 1080's for $700 and paid a premium for a now reverted pricing scheme. Maybe if Vega 10 can come in at $550 or $600 and perform smack bang in the middle of a 1080 and a 1080ti AMD will have a good deal on their hands. Otherwise I foresee another 980ti/Fury X 980/Fury battle waging and Nvidia once again coming out the clear victor.

Tbf I only said that three times at most:p
I think AMD can surpass a 1080. But not match a stock ti.

Yeah, I reckon so too. That kind of performance is not within AMD's range right now. But it doesn't need to be. Personally I don't need Titan XP performance and I don't have the budget for a 1080ti. That gives AMD room to squeeze themselves in comfortably: Be considerably better than a 1080 at a slightly higher price. $550 would be bangin', but I don't know if it would be possible.
