Especially since most people wouldn't even know what to do with the source code... They would just get it to be cool and say they have it

You can make absolutely any .exe file and name it with something involving Nivida and people would download it without understanding anything.

Nvidia_gofaster_stripes.exe.

I imagine someone is going to create malware and insert into a file involving DLSS source code ready to catch many out. And as you said, they would get it just to be cool or be curious to see what source code looks like.

Im referring to both. In other words, curiosity killed the cat. People will want to download this illegal information to see what it contains and suddenly karma gets them with some nice malware.

My point was that there are so many downloading content and programs without actually knowing what it is, or whether it is legal or not.

If I were to say you can download the source code to nvidia at this link xxxxxxxxx and not tell you the legalities behind it etc, thousands upon thousands would be doing it completely oblivious to the consequences.
