It's still not enough for 4k according to all of the reviews I have seen/read. Mostly thanks to the awful games we've been getting for the past year or so. Shame really.

With Vega 4K you dont know what the other settings were. We max our games out. You cant compare one results to another without identical rigs and game settings.
Ow i wasnt saying vega is gonna trounce the ti or the titan, i was simply wondering what your thoughts were on nvidias outing with this ti, in the past even though generally the ti made the titan not worth it for games, this ti sorta makes the titan not worth it at all.
And when it comes to vega, we know next to didly squat about it, but what they showed us was strong.

Those 4k AMD tests were severly limited too. Running Doom at 4K with unknown settings on the Vulcan API doesn't prove much to me.

The whole point of the Titan is you got that performance 7 months ago and even now they are still the top card.
Having said that the 1080 Ti at £699 is fantastic value for money.
Well normally the main dif between titan and ti of the same generation is that the ti is a cut down version, around half the vram, this time there is 1gb less so before where the penelty for sli was no stacked vram, this time you can sli and you miss 1 gb of vram.
This time also didnt they step down the costs, before the ti sloted inbetween the -80 and the titan, this time they put down the prices of the -80 and put the ti at the old -80's price.
For me the reason they did the vram is because in theory vega doesnt have a vram cap that really effects anything. And when it comes to this Ti you can basically get 2 for the price of 1 titan, for productivity which way would you go.

Show me an equivalent AMD card that can compete on price and performance.
Vega does not count in the same way as Volta does not.
Well on price to performance why does it just have tobe amd that you compare the ti to, think the normal 1080 with its price plumetting is also looking like good price to performance, and depending on what your doing, the 480's that are sub £200 are also looking like really good performance for the money.
Its all subjective to what your actually doing with the things.

That heavily depends on your perspective. From my perspective it's better value than the GTX 1080 and the Titan XP, which was the same with the previous generation, but in my eyes that does not equal fantastic value for money. £700 is a huge amount of money. Yes, the card offers a lot of performance, but every generation offers greater performance than the predecessor. $700 is decent value, but because of the currency exchange £700 is not, not to me. The 780ti was also $700 (terrible value, IMO), but in the UK it only ended up being £560. We're getting heavily shafted here and I can't in all honesty say that £700 is even 'good' value for money let alone 'fantastic'.
Compared to performance there was on the 1080 its not bad

It depends what Vega comes in at, If the 1080 Ti can run Doom and SW: Battlefront at 4K at the same or better FPS with the same settings than what we saw at the sneak peak of Vega then Vega just needs to compete on price.

Price/performance is hard to judge because you don't have anything to compare it to. But...
There are interesting times ahead of us. Both Intel, and nVidia suddenly decided to drop their prices? AMD got them scarred, and I like it.
Fastest GPU it the world was launched, and yet it is not the center of the story.
