Hey Guys,
I'm new here at OC3D and basically signed up just to get my problem resolved (hopefully). Well the problem resides in the SLI functionality of my two GTX 570's, as it seems that across 95% of applications/games there is no increase in performance. Out of the 56 currently installed Steam games on my computer, only 3 have utilized SLI effectively. These 3 games being Crysis 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Shogun 2: Total War. I am fully aware that not all games properly support SLI and various driver updates can cause problems etc, etc. Also, I've looked into a potential CPU bottleneck which I have reason to doubt as I have a i5 2500K running at 4.7GHz. So basically, my question is why won't my dual GPU solution kick into action across 95% of my games, 70% of which natively support SLI. Thanks.
PC Specifications:
Asus P8P67 Pro Motherboard
Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.7GHz
SLI Gigabyte GTX 570 OC's @ 800MHz
12GB 1333MHz RAM
1TB 7200RPM HDD
Creative X-Fi Titanuim Fatal1ty Sound Card
Coolermaster V6GT CPU Cooler
Coolermaster GX 750W PSU
Coolermaster CM 690 II Advanced Nvidia Edition
Nvidia Drivers 275.33
EDIT: I have managed to fix the problem as SLI now works the games that should support it. I did this by stumbling upon Beta Drivers 275.50, don't know how I didn't take note of these before, although it advised that beta drivers be avoided due to their incomplete state. Anyway, problem fixed as of now.
