It appears Nvidia has already issued some review samples of the GTX 1080. A few lucky reviewers have already gotten their hands on Nvidia's upcoming flagship GPU.

The article has been updated with the rumoured date on which the NDA of the 1080 would be lifted. Do note that this is not official information, though.

I wish Nvidia actually showed the difference of the founders edition and standard edition at the conference, I can only find complete speculation so far.

It's been two days since they showed it off... of course it'll be speculation. Give it time. You'll find out when reviews show up.

Of course you do. After you get the 1080, it'll get replaced by a 1080ti or whatnot soon after :D Always gonna want.

We know what Dice is like he will buy the 1080 first & then he will get the 1080Ti

Pretty much ^_^

Nah, Dicey ain't got no titans before.

I had a Titan X briefly but found it to be noisy and run very hot so sold it and got the 980 Ti Matrix which runs a butt ton cooler, Quieter and overclocks a lot further giving more performance.

Of course this is now going though to make way for the 1080 ^_^

Ah, must've been away when you did that. Too bad they didn't have the HG10 when you had the titan.

Reference cooler was definitely terrible. At least for Noise. To be expected of it.

I own a matrix 980ti is it worth selling this to upgrade?

With a retail of £450 for the 1080 I feel i could sell my 980ti for around this price to upgrade. Question is - is it really worth it?

You also had a Classy too if i'm not mistaken

It's a bit of a gamble really as it could very well turn out to be another 780 Ti to 980 situation.

Yep swapped it out for the Matrix purely for aesthetics ^_^

If you dont mind the hassle and can get more than what you would need to pay for the 1080, then why not. Your choice afterall. No reason to stop you either.

One persons garbage is another persons treasure. Each to their own.

Founder's Edition = Reference card. The cheaper ones are for the board partners, those with custom coolers etc.

Correct, and can only be bought from Nvidia's website. They charge more and make a higher margin for it because no middle man. Clever on there part
