Thanx for the input guyz, I appreciate it. U`re pretty much echoing my thoughts with the suggestions I think.
@Fragmeister - 6800GT.. hmm I think if I`m going to get a stop-gap card, I may makesure it breaks into the 7000, I like the x6xxx builds, never got an x8xx, so maybe it`ll be a
-up between a 7600 and 7800 - although the 7800s seem overpriced for agp technology. Memory will be a question too, alot of media apps (which this pc will turn into once I`ve gotten a pci-e based mobo) like u to have mucho memory for their bad programming sake. lol.
@jiffz - I`m looking at the way the 6600GT I`ve got atm from the point of view u`ve suggested - it clocks really well, and performs very well too, for what it is, plus the vivo aspect. It`s possibly the lack of memory (128m >.< ) it has that`s pushing me towards a newer card, even as a stop-gap b4 pci-e. I think a card will have to be a solid performer to beat this one matching like for like agp vS pci-e. It`s a great card imo.
@Kemp - yeah I`ve seen some of those 7600s and they`re dirt cheap - quite like what u`d want to fill a hole b4 u jump from agp boards to pci-e. If I can find one with mucho memory and a sexeh price, it may be what I plum for.
Thanx again.
( O o u can`t say tos s ?!?!)
