[GM20x] Clock speeds remain above idle at 144 Hz on desktop.
Unless if I've missed something, this means that they'll never fix that issue for my GPU (or anyone running gpus that aren't brand spanking new)? If so, f**k off nVidia.

It sounds like the old dual monitor bug to me fella. Plug a second monitor into Fermi and watch the temps soar.

I think they mean they've addressed that issue so now it should drop.
Yeah, for the latest gen cards. Not the 780Ti or various Titans and other cards that are still perfectly relevant.

Didn't you used to have an AMD GPU Barnsley?

Yeah, in my previous build I had a couple of them (a 7870 then a 280X). I fancied a change when it came to building my current rig. So far it doesn't seem all that 'mighty' as people make nVidia out to be. Which is a shame as it (the Titan reference cooler) is by far the best looking cooler I've ever seen.

I'm running two monitors. my Ti runs at 3d clocks when I have my main monitor at 144hz. If I turn it down to 120hz it goes back in to 2d/idle clocks. I've tried with one (144hz)monitor too and it doesn't make a difference.
