This makes no sense. If true it's also stupid for any consumer to purchase an 8GB GPU. It may be fine for 1080p right now but you're already close to not being fine.

Depends on exactly how memory-constrained Nvidia is. If manufacturers shifted GDDR7 production ot DDR5 or LPDDR5, that could have really messed with Nvidia's GeForce product line. The same may not be as true for GDDR6, which may not use production lines that are as newer memory types.

TBH, I am sick of "money" messing about with the consumer hardware market. Be it Crypto, AI or whatever else, I am sick of normal people being screwed over so some rich person can get even richer.
