Nvidia announces 120Hz, G-Sync HDR "Big Format Gaming Displays"

They might be expensive but to big ? Lol not everybody plays FPS games in their man cave

Not everybody has a strong enough neck to not get sore from looking all over the screen 24/7 either. So what's your point? You can do whatever you want with it no matter what your neck is gonna hurt if you sit as close as people already do

Asus just unveiled their new Swift PG65 based on this tech. I do like the fact that Nvidia Shield is build into these screens.

His point is that "not everybody plays FPS on his man cave" He means, he probably plays on his living room, in a couch, that is probably 3-6 meters away from the TV. And still I do play on my man cave and I still want one of these, I was actually waiting for a product like this for years now. I own at this time a 27" 1440p monitor, and it is for the same neck reason I didn't want a much bigger one, but I stilll wanted someting bigger to go along. Why? You might ask? That's because, I do have a couch on my man cave about 3m apart from my desk and I use it to play on consoles, also to listen to music and watch movies, and I want a bigger screen for that, just there wasn't a good low latency big display around. Now there is! I can now have both the 27" for when I'm close, working or playing on the PC and the 65" for console playing, movie watching and music listening from my couch. (Yeah, a screen for music listening, I need to see my playlists).

When I got my 32" I initially figured it was too big. I was moving my head a lot, and getting a stiff neck for it. However, a week or so in and I stopped moving my head and it's been fine.

However something this large? yeah, that's not good. And I bet it doesn't do your eyes any favours either if you sat up close to it. So you move 5ft back? may as well be sitting closer to a 27" IMO.

I have a 65" TV which sounds terribly exciting ! however, when you are sitting 15ft away from it it's not even as good as gaming at a desk on a 32". However, it is considerably more comfy so there is that.

Well so far TVs have been hit and miss in terms of latency and haven't accepted anything above 60Hz so this sure is a treat for living room gamers.

I've not tried it because my TV rig is AMD, but wouldn't fast sync sort that out any way?

I think hes referring to the whole 60hz vs 120hz debate we always had, that can now be applied to TVs. And input lag has always been bad on TVs

You do see a difference between the two even with Fast Sync albeit mimimal difference for some. However 120hz with G sync would certainly create a nice market for the pc sofa gamer. I bet elite dangerous would be fantastic.
