I've had an issue with the 337.88 Nvidia driver with my GTX 560. Ever since I installed that I've noticed the GPU idle temperature to go up by a good 10C (50-55C), this wouldn't normally be a problem only it causes the fan to kick in.
Given the GTX 560 I have is the MSi Twin Frozr variant so the fan isn't exactly quite when it goes anywhere beyond its default 40% idle. It means I've extra audible fan noise while doing something like browsing the net which is a little irksome. My main rig with the GTX 780 doesn't have this problem at all.
I knew it wasn't hardware related (as in lack of thermal paste), because I run two OS's on both my systems, the other being Debian Linux. The idle temperature in Debian is 30-40C on my system with the 560 so the fan never spins up at all and the machine is nice and quiet.
I've since reverted to the 335.23 driver and everything is peachy again in Windows just like it was.
I'm not alone either:

Anyone else have this issue?
