I've got a very heavy TTake Xaser full tower case, with an Alphacool 3x120 on top of it. It's not mounted inside the case, but sits on some little legs I made to allow air through.
Ideally, I'd like to get a lighter or more likely smaller case and move the radiator either inside or onto the back but I presume this would probably mean dropping down to a 2x120 unit, so at least I could move the 3x onto the wife's machine when I get round to it.
Inside my machine is nothing desperate (specs in profile probably): 939 X2 4200@2.5GHz on stock volts under an Alphacool XP light, X1950Pro with an EK full cover block hooked onto an Alphacool DDC Ultra pump/res using 10/8 tubing.
Would it be worth getting a thermochill rad, or would any decent 2x rad do a job? I'm pleased with my present temps, the GPU is 40 under load on a hot day and the CPU cores don't go much over 35 (or so) so it all appears to be working even though it's hardly an optimal layout, as it was my first foray into having fluid inside my PC.
Any thoughts? I guess if I drop the DVD drive down, I could fit a 3x rad into the ceiling if I cut the case out.
