Wich one is best to cool, passief or actieve. I got a P4C800-E deluxe with Intel 3,4 ghz prescott 1mb with a OCZ PC4400 2,5-4-4-8 Prometeia R507

Owkee the problem is i must go overclocking to 285 to 288 fsb if can. Anandtech report that the maximum fsb is at 288 but my northbridge is passief cooled. It can handeld 268 maximum

Whats the problem!!

Any idea's.... all are welcome!!

Only in the best cases can you succeed in exceeding what you have now.Active cooling is always better, on my P4c-800 deluxe I used this http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcx159.asp

Cost £29 new - you can have it for £20 delivered.

That will help squeeze a few more MHZ out of it, my OCZ which was the same as yours was not quite up to the job at hand with my rig which at the time was:

Prescott 3.4 @ 4.4Ghz and 6800GT

It may be you need a better PSU - the PC&P 510 DLX sold on EP-UK is the daddy and will help a lot.

Also there are a number of mods you can do to that motherboard or even add-in on OCZ Booster to give the RAM an extra boost.

Dont forget that MOBO suffers with a voltage drop on the CPU which is why a brilliant PSU or a soldered modifcation is required to the board for extra stability.

I also have an OCZ booster that you can have for £18 delivered.

Buy both from me for £34 delivered. Saving you over £30 on retail prices.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Don't go the water route for your chipset unless you are integrating into an existing loop as it will be a complete waste of money.

I personally was using the Microcool Northpole chipset sink on my PC4800 E's (notice the plural there :( ) and have to say that they are the dog's danglies!
