noob to over clocking please could you give advise!! thanks

hi all im new to all this i have

i7 2600k 3.4ghz
asus p8p67 pro motherbored
h100i cooler
gtx 670 graphic card
and sp fans on rad please could you help me i am want to no what is the best way to over clock my bored

i have got it to 4.8 but it is not very stable i do not think and would like to no if using ai suit 2 is best thing to use to over clock with so would you mind giving me more info on this any more info i can give you to help you help me i can thanks alot for this

also is there a better motherbored out there that might be better for this chip

I would recommend you overclock in the bios, so 4.8, could you give more? Like what volts etc?

use bios to oc mate not the AI suite those programs normally over volt for the same oc you can do manually.

now if one was to give you the formula for overclocking you would not learn anything. So my advice is to check the thread here or google overclocking on your specific motherboard and read read read. This way you have a basic understanding on what needs to be done. Then apply some of what you have read and we can assist you further after that.

Well for my overclock I just put the multiplier up to 43 and lowered the voltage and that was that but when it comes to pushing the max out of the cpu I will google overclocking guides on this mobo and then go from there. I suggest you do the same

yeh use the bios mate i thought i could do it all on oc tuner real unstable these guys pointed me in the right direction defo bios!

Yes , always overclock from the BIOS. OC means alot of trial and error so don't give up, keep pursuing your goals, read alot, and you will be fine as long as you know when to push the limits of your OC, how and why.
