On Win 7 look in your icons / notifications area, you should see the folding logo, right click this ( if its there ofc ) and select status > logfile.

New window will open showing in notepad your work in progress.

Youll know its working if you check the temps on your card too.

In Taskmanager you should have a process called Fahcore_15 ( dont quote me on the exact number though! )

hmm i could not find the 64bit version lasher

tom,ok fella i thought it would show a icon in the taskbar like the CPU one but it does not and one of them blue and white boble things that spins around lol,and how do i pause it and get all the same info as i could with the CPU client

just looked at afterburner and it shoed 99% GPU usage

when i used that it asks for a cuda something and 'a re-install might help' msg comes up like i said i have re-installed it 4 times lol,but it does not work

i have the latest drivers aswell

Blue and white bobble things? :p Were there red and black bits as well? As that means you were probably looking at a molecular model of the protein. Isn't there a GPU version that can show the actual folding going on as well? Or hasn't it been sorted for the 400 series yet? It certainly worked for the 200 series I know.

yer that thing lol,erm i can not see it,i did for the CPU folding tho

and it did mention that with the latest drivers the 400 series should be fine

@hmm is that the 64bit or 32bit?

Having it showing the protein slows the PPD fella the console client is better for points at the end of the day. The little task bar icon is pointless, just minimise it :p

ok i seem to have things up and running (i think)

but i need to know how to set up HFM so i can look at my PDP outputs

In HFM, go to clients, then add client. Pick local for the location and put the path to your work folder. For GPU it should look something like this:

C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Folding@home-gpu\

ok cheers iw ill try it later.

ok i think i have all four cours running now,i copied and pasted the Folding@home.exe 4 times in the C driver directory then deleted the work folder in the 3 i copied, then changed the .exe start path on the desktop to match the C drive directory.

also what is all these flag things?

wouldnt he need to make sure hidden folders were shown?

hmmm i still can not get this working

i have enabled hidden folders and set the start path to Cdrive-folding@home-work.for the GPU and the CPU but it is still showing up as unknown and doesent show anything even tho they are all churning away

also when i have all four CPU's running mu GPU only runs at 50% but when i exit them it goes to 100%,is that normal
