This is some good news.

All of those who do not know - but any 7800GTX out there today is the nvidia reference design, there are those who spent a fortune on 'the best' and were disappointed to find that they all performed the same (heck the top guy in 3dm05 used inno3d units).

Non-reference designs will (hopefully) provide us with pre-volt modded units that produce 600/1400 clock speeds with potential to go even faster - which maybe the reason why nvidia cancelled the reference 7800ultra.

So look out in November for units from ASUS, XFX, Gainward and others that will hit the shelves with potentially rocketing performance and be free of nvidias stupid cold bug and perhaps stutter the progress of R520.

Well they do say you learn something new every day mate, and today i learnt this, which i am pleased to learn about but i am also disappointed as in november ill spend more money on my comp lol seeing as i just sent £350 on my 7800gtx

think i might hold out 4 one of these then :)

At least it will be interesting to read the reviews of those cards, atm the only thing that differentiates any of them is price and bundle.

Wish i could afford any of them.
