Looking for an easy answer to this.
Got this installed on one of the main pcs that I use to overlook the other pcs also.
I`ve gotten the drives on the other machines mapped to this one and I use Directory Opus as my explorer. It`s great for showing me the transfer speeds and so on.
All the pcs are connected via a gigabit switch, using dhcp via a router, transfer rates are anything upto about 30mbs.
Now, after about 2 weeks of having Eset installed, partway through a transfer of files, it will say either "Network name is no longer available" or I`ll get the balloon saying "delayed write failure". U can skip the file in question and it will carry on with the others until it does it to something else. Repeated attempts of copy/moving the same files will give the same results.
I turn off the personal firewall, and every1s happy again.
I don`t necessarily `need` the firewall on... but I`m also trying it out - so I`d like to have it on to kind`ve judge it against the likes of ZA. See what it`s like for gaming etc too.
Any immediate answers ? It picked up the lan ok when it was installed.
