I don't blame them: those prototype fans look thoroughly un-Noctua and as I've already said, I'll be getting a couple or three of the Chromax G2 but will likely get trad Noctua fans for them. I don't think there is a lot of point to a Noctua cooler that doesn't shout "Noctua".
