Hi, I was fixing my brothers computer today when i accidently shut the pc down when it was shutting down windows, now when I switch it on nothing appears on the screen.

No hardware was changed when this happened. I have tried resetting the CMOS but that didn't help.

Any thoughts?

Can u see it post, but it goes when the OS is about to kick in ? (that would be drivers)

Or no screen output at all, but the pc "appears" to be booting up fine despite not being able to see anything (i.e. keyboard responds to caps-lock/num-lock presses) ? (this is usually gfxcard not seated well; lack of 'good' power to the gfxcard [harddrive on the same molex line, or just plain bad supply] ; or bios is not set to use the pcie/agp as a screen option).

Neither of the above - switch the graphics card for another to test that is isn't simply all dead !
