Next gen

Anyone know where we're at in the cycle of the next gen cards coming out? I'm considering upgrading from my GTX 680 and was wondering if it would be worth it to get a 970 or 980 now, or should I wait for next gen?

I'd wait as it'll lower prices for Nvidia and AMD could release a beast.
