I think it's a perfect accessory for steam deck and will enable more games to work with steam deck. Although it does look rather bulky.

Not sure how it helps Steam Deck. It seems to be pretty much the same gamepad as the system itself. Great if you want to plug the Steam Deck into a TV and use the system as a Nintendo Switch-style device.
