This is not a good look for Intel, 1 of the main reasons AMD has become so popular is the ability to keep 1 board during 3+ CPU cycles, 5 in the case of AM4 and 3 maybe 4 in the case of AM5.

Yeah, with AMD you at least get one good upgrade if you invest in the platform early on. That's not guaranteed with Intel.
Blimey. Youd be well pissed if you bought a 285 and are now going to be stuck with it.
They may get a refresh later this year, but a refresh isn't usually worth upgrading to, unless you were also moving from an Ultra 5 (i5) to an Ultra 7 or 9 (i7 ot i9).
