Hey i just stumbeled over some interseting news !

Microsoft says that you schould have a 3 GHZ Processor and 512 MB RAM to have MS LH on the highest Settings. Lower settings will be available but it wont look that good.

Isnt that interesting now ?

Yes but just think about that what that means for companies !

If they want to change to Longhorn... Or for personal users.... Its horrible for those "low level" PC's

people with low level pc's will have either the sense to not upgrade or lack the knowledge to do it. and tbh i thought LH needed at least 1gb, and there was a rumour that 2gb for full performance.

I think this is retarded and backasswards thinking on MS's part... they should be making more advanced OS's that run better on shittier computers than mediocre OS's that require a brand new system to run w/ any amount of performance.

ffx's mac osx is a combination of many difernt third party apps including samurize which he wrote a guide on... http://www.sysxtreme.com/showthread.php?t=775&highlight=theme

he also uses object dock and i imagine either windowsblinds or style xp. he was going to write a full conversion guide on it...but didnt

i use the standard windows 98 one! i dunno what it is, but if i go to my computer right click it, and click properties, then click the advanced tab, and click the sirst settings thing and then click adjust for best performance

i do this cos otherwise my comp takes hours to do anything, and i mean anything

also just to mention i have overclocked it by 10MHz thats as far as i could without the processor goin over 60*C
