Newbie Question about Gigabyte Board/4770k

Hi everyone, I'm planning on buying a 4770k later this week to replace my 3770 (which my wife will get to replace her Core 2 Duo) and have been interested in the gigabyte green motherboard (if you can't tell by my profile pic I like green lately). Anyways I watched TTL's video on the Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87 and was amazed at it since I don't need anything fancy, this computer is 85% for gaming and the rest encoding videos, so I didn't need 12 sata ports or 4 pci-x 16x slots.

Anyways I was more interested in the z5s because it doesn't have the pci slots and I don't need to spend the extra money on the onboard sound because I'm using a Dac. But here's the problem.

In the video he said that on stock speeds it only speedboosts the 1 core (whereas my msi board currently speedboosts all 4 cores to 3.9ghz) and I was wondering when I do go to overclock the 4770k (which I will be just not much at first), will it run all 4 cores at the set speed (say 4.0-4.2ghz?) or will it still just do the single core one?

Also I was wondering does anyone know if the gigabyte boards do the power saving mode while on an overclock? I tried contacting gigabyte directly but the tech guy didn't understand what I meant.

Again thanks in advance and sorry this is so freaking long. But It's just a couple things I want to try to figure out to try and get the best I can out of this new system.
