New Zen 3/ 4th Gen Ryzen Sample clocks at 4.9GHz - Could AMD reach 5GHz at retail?

That would be awesome.

Also naming the CPU's 5000 matches the X570/B550 chipset better. If these rumours are true then I'm so glad I skipped Zen 2. Not that they're bad CPU's by any means or that I'd be unhappy, but Zen 3 does look like it's a real cut above.

Shinyitus Dicey lol

Well the CPU I don't really need as I have a 3950X so I'll be good until Zen 4 in Q4 2021 but big Navi I do need, The 5700XT I have has a bit of trouble driving the Valve Index properly at 144Hz, Often dropping to 50FPS which is quite jarring.

I was going to talk about this last week but I have just been amazingly busy..

I took my 3950x PC home last week and played Metro Exodus for hours. At first I thought it was new PC feels, but I swear the CPU has made an enormous difference.

On my TR rig the game plays fine with a very good frame rate, but it just felt so much better on the new rig.

Very impressed tbh. I have a distinct feeling Intel's woes are going to get much worse very soon. Not like they are not bad enough now, but yeah this could well be a massive nail in the proverbial.

Yeah i'm looking forward to Big Navi myself but I think my 16 year old daughter has other plans for her old boy's money :D:D:D

When I moved from Intel to AMD, 9900K to 3950X, I noticed things "felt" a lot smoother in games, I did numerous A/B tests and the 3950X rig felt a lot smoother in various games, Not quite sure how to describe other than smoother.

My 2 x nieces think money grows out of my brothers pockets too ^_^
