Right guys i'm after a new hdtv.

I'm after a 37" thats 1080p for my bluray.

It's mostly gonna be used to watch blurays, footie and downloaded hd programmes and playing the ps3

Budget is up to £600

Anyone any thoughts???

Thanks

Mike

Beware of cheap Tosh TV's - take it from me.

In fact, beware of any cheapo TV's really

My dad had the same TV but he paid the full price of £1400 lol was a great TV, defo worth under 500. No doubt, 1080p colours were so nice!

Yep I've go a Samsung LE32M87BDX mate and it's a cracker.

Not a fan of Toshiba TV's at all.

Colours on LCD's are always good on LCD's, but frankly Plasma delivers superior picture than most of them

My dad has a 50" Plasma I think it's Panasonic, don't hold me to that though, I will find out though lol. 100hz is the only reason he got it. Hence getting rid of the Toshiba, DO NOT PLAY COD4 ON 100HZ 50" Plasma, it made me dizzy and I'm a hardcore Gamer*

I game all the time on my Plasma, looks fantastic

You're crazy lol, I suppose it takes some getting used too, he only plays his PS3 for GTA, never really watches movies, but watches a lot of sports, my god can you see the difference. The Plasma seemed much better quality close up, compared to LCD that is.

I play games on my PS3 and watch a LOT of Blu's. High-def is fantastic on Plasma's and the panny's are 2nd best out there (to the Pioneer Kuro's)

Unfortunately, Pioneer stepped out of the TV market earlier this month. :(

I've got a Samsung 40" LCD for the living room and a 32" LG LCD upstairs, both 1080p. The picture quality is amazing :)

Judging from my personal experience, try to avoid the Toshibas. They're just not that great. Originally bought a 42" Toshiba before the Sammy, and ended up returning it the next day.

We had a 37" LG LCD that was 1080p from Currys.

Was too big though. Now we have a 32", which is 1080p as well.

I've had my 37" 1080p LG since April and it's been a great telly imo. Bought it for £650 back then I think so should be cheaper now

Yep I know, but they are still selling Kuro's and warranty etc still supported.

Samsung are good, although sometimes build quality isn't amazing. (on some models)

Yep I had a 37" Tosh and after a raft of issues I sent it back and got my superb Panasonic
