Right lads,
In my role to turn us into a mean lean fighting machine, I’ll be doing a set of tactics over the next few weeks with screenshots and overviews.
These will be named “Tactic-Fantastic – De_xxxx”
What I need to know is, are there any preference for the first map that I do? The list of maps I have are (excluding D2 as we’ve got that pretty much covered).
- Clan Mill
- Cbble
- Inferno
- Prodigy
- Aztec
- Train
- Nuke
Each tactics thread should be a sticky and locked for comments really. It just keeps them clean and any discussion can take place elsewhere or on TS.
I was thinking that each thread could contain CT positions, T positions, basic rotation (more advanced will need to be practiced in PCW’s) and nade / FB / smoke positioning.
It’ll take some time to put them together, but I’d like some feedback on the idea? I’m aware that sometimes it’s easy to put way too much information into these types of tactics threads, so I’m wondering if a basic overview would benefit more and then more complex stuff to be done in PCWs?
I’m just aware that one some maps, we’ve really not played them at all, so in these instances, just covering the basics like CT positions and T normal or rushes would be enough. For something like D2 where we know that, then I could go into more detail about smoke and FB tactics.
However I don’t want information overload and want these easy to read. Perhaps one answer would be to have something in this format:
Map overview – Brief map description (Is it CT or T bias etc).
CT Positions – 2D picture of map with CT positions drawn on colour-coded. Underneath a description of each position and where this person rotates to (e.g. If A attacked, this player rotates through spawn to B, etc). An eco tactic will also be shown in pictorial format.
T Positions – Same picture as above but showing a normal tactic T position. Underneath the same description of where to attack but instead of rotations, this will cover FB / Smoke placements by each person. Additionally, rush tactics will be shown in diagrams also along with a pistol tactic.
Let me know what you think!
