New speakers for me!

Well as it's my birthday tomorrow I decided to pre-emptively spend my present (money).

I started off looking at the Logitech x-230s as they seem about the best price/performance around. Then I noticed the x-530s, I thought £15 more for 3 more speakers, they'll do!

Then I noticed the x-540s, £8 more? Bargain! So they've been ordered and are currently on their way.

I just hope my onboard sound doesn't ruin them too much!

I'll get some pics up of them once they're setup. Should make a bit of a difference from my 2.0 budget speakers!

Cheers Frag, and yeah I'm pretty sure my birthday money is coming to an end tbh. Last year as a student!

Couldn't quite afford the Z-5500s, they look absolutely awesome! I hope these one's are pretty good, reviews seem to say so anyway.

Cheers guys, yeah can't wait to start annoying folk with the volume! They'll make a bit of a change from my awful 2.0s.

Ah - but what are u gonna be playing through these speakers ?

Some AudioSlave, SoundGarden, WolfMother prehaps some Hendrix ?

.. or Kylies greatest hits ?

Lol, no kylie I'm afraid. There will be a bit of Wolfmother, perhaps some Audioslave, some AC/DC, Led zep etc. And a lot of Bob Dylan, Tom McRae, Damien Rice, stuff like that.

I'm actually really looking forward to re-installing Doom3 and playing through it again.

Make sure you have em loud...maybe try some hardcore through them :yumyum:

Bass is like an addiction, without it...music is nothing

I also have the Z-5500's and they are amazing!

Same here ;) , the Z-5500's are fantastic. It was the video clip on the Logitech web site that sold these to me, the one where the bloke has all the speakers pointing towards the ceiling and is using the sound to hover over them sky diving fashion. :worship: Hilarious

OMG who are wolf mother and audio slave ? whats wrong with abba, and donny osmond lol. In all seriousness enjoy the new speakers mate.

Cheers guys!

Oh and Wolfmother and Audioslave are some seriously good (and pretty loud) rock and roll bands.

Well that's them here and installed, absolutely fantastic! Really, really loud. I'll put up a pic or two in my rig gallery in show it off, if anyone's interested.
