New Signature Rules.

Hi Guys,

Sorry to have to introduce this rule, but i feel that the way things currently are, the length/size of our signatures could easily be causing problems for people who are not on fast connections, or are running at low screen resolutions.

As of now, i'd like everybody to check their sigs to make sure they follow these rules:

* Signature images must not exceed 100kb.

* Use of font greater than 'Size 4' is forbidden.

* All signatures regardless of whether they be text or images must fit within the following box (500w x 150h px):

* As per Terms & Conditions of SX, there will be no nudity or other offencive material in signatures.

* The total size of signature images must not exceed 150kb and its dimensions no greater than 150h x 500w

* The total length of signature text myst not exceed 10 lines, and use of Font greater than 'Size 4' is forbidden.

* You choose between either just a text sig, or just an image sig.

yeah i think they are some rules that should have been put into effect along time ago, but it must be hard on PV he cant have his ' good pictures :drool: :drool: :drool:

Also XMS, have you only set those as rules but people can still do it or have you like taken some of those features away?

Sorry kempez...U can still have animated system specs etc, but they need to be of a certain size (probably roughly the same size as u had them before), and also less than 150k.

The sig you have at the moment is fine.

I'm sure you'll agree that we want to make this site easily accessable to everyone, and this is just one step out of many many other steps ive been performing in the background to make sure of this :D
 
Yep - didn't disagree wid ya mate. I totally agree in fact! :)

I'm gonna make a static sig at the weekend as I realy feel that moving sigs do slow down the page for peeps who have a slower connection. This one will do for the moment. :cool:

All the features are still there, but if any sig does not meet requirments, then it will be removed.
 
Jim, u should post up what size that box is so that when people are making new sigs they know what size canvas to start with :) Just my 2 pennies... :D

nice rules, my sig is 100x600 so can i have it as it makes up for the 50px height by adding a bi ton the end :p. nah ill be making a new one soon anyway, got updated specs :)

Looks like I'll have to hold another contest... "Make Frag A New Sig With Forum Guidelines Contest" rofl. :)
