mem - OCZ® Gold Series Gamer Extreme 2GB DDR PC4000 500Mhz

cpu - AMD Athlon 64 FX60

mobo - DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR Expert nForce4 SLI PCIe

going to keep my 2x 7800xfx and just update the cpu/mem and mobo

think i will be geting the mobo and cpu for def, but not too sure what mem to get? any ideas?

Thanks

the memory you have chosen is good mate, it depends wha what you wannt do with it, you can get cheaper memory which does tigher timings at lower speeds as the fx60 has unlocked multi so just raise it to match the fsb to get the desired speeds, but its up to u but id get the memory you chose or some 2gb of corsair pc3500LL which is a good compromise IMHO

Thanks for that Phill

i will look for some pc3500LL when i get back from work

iv not got a clue what to get when it comes to memory,:$

what do you think about the mobo ?

was also wanting to know if the AMD 64 x2 4800 would be better for games than the FX60 ?

No it wouldnt be, the FX-60 is practically (though not quite i presume) a 200Mhz faster X2 4800+, just has a unlocked multiplyer, it is dual core as well, so it should be faster at everything than the 4800

There`ll be a small difference out of the box with the FX60, but it`ll OC further than the 4800...probably.
