New OC3D Office!

Sound seems ok to me and definitely don't go 4K as Youtube will take an age to process your videos. Another UK reviewer went 4k and his videos are pretty short yet they take like 4 or 5 hours to process properly and hardly anyone has 4K anyway.

You'd still see a huge difference.

Looks good Tom!

Sound quality seemed fine, as for 4K yes as mentioned it does take a while to process them but it does depend on the bit-rate and file size.

I noticed that they can take up to 8 hours to process a single video of about 16Gb with a 50MB bit-rate.

There is a quality benefit to 1080p when you upload a 4K video and for me I have a 4K monitor so I would be able to watch them in 4K but to be honest, I think 1080p is fine for hardware reviews.

Looks good Guv as to the audio the office is Not as echoey as the main review room and it's not all that much echo either, also I noticed too the colors seem more accurate in the office too for some reason the red on the case looked orange in the review room to me anyway cause when you said red I was shocked.
But all in all great and looking forward to things moving on.

Looks dope. Cant wait for the move to the purpose built warehouse and the patreon requests. Loljk.

Really digging the new look. Esp the painted brick. Cant beat a bit of tessellation

The new filming room and your office look very nice, looking forward to upcoming videos. Personally I wouldn't bother with 1080p 60Hz as doesn't benefit the type of videos you do at all and just slows down your workflow due to the larger file sizes. Imo the audio and the lighting in the office were pretty decent.

Hi Tom

Lovely vid, and your excitement is palpable. I don't know if putting some corner foam bass traps or just using studio sound deadening foam tiles on one of your walls (not on camera) would help your echo. Love the look of the new digs and looking forward to what you have in store. I would say 4k is a no as its too much bandwidth for me and I agree the rendering / upload time would be crap.

I think multi-cam would be awesome if it works for you. It obviously increases the time of editing and composting the video.

Thanks for the update Guv!

Looks good TTL and sound doesn't seem bad at all. I'm sure with some of the tips others have suggested it'll be spot on.

Love the nerd shelf behind you for all sorts of stuff (y)

And as for the resolution stuff. Can you film in 1440? i've seen 1440 vids on youtube so that might be a good compromise as more and more people are moving to 1440p

My cam is 1080 and Ive not seen any 1440 varients yet :/

You got the letters in the back wrong!

Not sure if anyone got the joke ;), naughty boy!

Tessellation! That's the word I was thinking of when looking at the walls :), I think it looks great, more interesting that bare walls. The Review Room looks great too, looking forward to seeing the shelves being populated. Could do with a better camera in there; the red is way off and the contrast is a bit "misty" if you know what I mean. The sound's not actually that bad, a tad echoey.

I think 1080p 60Hz would be awesome, it's so much better on the eyes. 4k I'm not so bothered with (no 4k display or TV), but it is the future I suppose and it would show things like motherboards in really fine detail. Maybe later when the internet catches up.

If you did have a camera on the ceiling (not in the bedroom just to clarify ;)) how about a monitor display behind you connected to that camera, or split screen on youtube, so that we can see both views of the hardware at the same time? A display behind you would save some mixing and rendering time.

Good going, hope to see more soon!

I believe on YT, even if you have only a 1080p native file, you can still export to YT as a 1440p/4k footage and while it's still technically the same thing, the higher bitrate's YT gives for those resolutions just means things will be slightly less compressed and therefore look better. Pretty sure that's how some people do it, worth looking into and saves some money instead of buying say a 4k cam.
