New Msn Bug

okay, most of you will have heard of the msn bug which posts a link asking if somthing is you right? well, a new one has appeared, its a link that appears in a convo window thats claims that an msn 8.0 beta is available..if the link is clicked, an apparant setup file, around 162 kb will arrive on your desktop..it is not a legit setup, its a virus, which locks msn and stops you using it...at this time i dont know how to make sure it doesn't affect you other than not installing the file and running a full virus scan.

I'll keep you updated about this virus/other future outbreaks as they appear.

I saw MSN 8 Beta in that, my eyes went right for it, then I read virus.

yes, it just appears as a blank site, but a file appears on your destop...or wherever your download folder is

msn hackers appear to have struck again, this time with a program that claims to be able to tel if youve been blocked or not...beware if oyu get this program, it will put a data miner in your system, which will be part of the running process called somthing like blockcheck.exe

if you try to terminate the program itll keep starting itself

no antivirus's can currently identify it or delete it.

the only way to stop t is to get a third party program blocker (msconfig wont work on it) and stop the two programs that come in the download from executing.

if you put thos program on your system and leave it, it sends your net usage back to whoever made it, and annoying spam messages pop up on msn whenevere a convo window is opened or someone says hi.
