G'day

I am looking at building a htpc. I currently have my old gaming desktop plugged into my tv and its running vlc as the front end. Very low tech.

I want to use either xbmc or media portal as the front end with windows 7 as the os.

As far as requirements go I want to be able to store my large media collection all in the one place and be able to access it via other computers. Atm I have over 4tb or movies/tv shows.

I also want the htpc to be able to play live tv so I can ditch my set top box.

And lastly I will be playing gmaes on it as well.

Im trying to keep it under $1500au. And I prefer to buy parts from pccasegear. Every other etailer I have had poor experiences with or know people who have had issues.

So far the components I looked at are.

Avermedia capteur hd tv tuner card
Samsung 840 evo 120gb Ssd
Asus vanguard b85 motherboard
Evga gtx 750ti
Corsair cmx8gx3m2b1 8gb ram @ 1600 mhz
Intel core i5 4440
Silverstone grandia gd08
Wd green 2tb drive x4

I already have the blue ray drive

But I wasn't sure about the psu.

Any and all help would be appreciated

Don't look to bad at all, I'd be careful with Avermedia TV cards, I have 3 sat on my shelf for what ever reason Avermedia stop supporting each card pretty quick after every new OS, so if your using windows seven and planning on getting windows 8 later I'd double check.

Haupaugge have great cards also the Compro Videomate cards they are especially good as they accept digital satellite input too.

In regards to the PSU, a 450watt would suffice tbh with a 750ti and 4440. I however would opt for a 550watt unit just because they are usually barely any more money.
