Its bit cheaper than BenQ but I'm bit affraid about glosy screen?I'm big fan of Asus products but I never had any monitor from them
blink.gif
How long you using this monitor and what is your opinion about it??

I think that I definitely go for Asus Matrix
biggrin.gif

Well its more than bright enough to stop any reflection if that's what you mean, unless you are playing a pitch black game. I've only ever seen reflections, or noticed them, during a loading screen or maybe Metro 2033

I think I've been using it, what, a month and a bit now, and its very well built, just it likes fingerprints

The screen is fine, but sometimes you get tearing (to be expected with a 580 and 120Hz), so often V-Sync is on, but then, with a 580, you have it on most of the time anyway

Overall, its a great monitor, the only complaints are that if you knock it, it shakes around a little, and it gets dusty really easilly. The picture is great, there is no ghosting (if you ever got it you can adjust "Anti-trace" to stop it), and the 120Hz is a dream

Well just looking on Google, everybody has different opinions, but then I suppose that when I was looking for monitors, these were probably the main two I was looking at. And I went for the Asus, there are several good reviews of it, including the Anandtech one, and I personally felt the BenQ just wasn't what I wanted, maybe they have a rep for making cheap monitors, and I'm looking for something that lasts, who knows. Check this link

Do avoid listening to people who say if it has a certain feature its better without justification. They either own the thing, have no clue what they are on about, or are fanbois (latter is not applicable for monitors hopefully

)

Both have 2ms GTG (Grey to Grey) response times, so that's a non issue there, both are TN panels, both TFT, same res, same colours, Asus one has a smaller pixel size (has a slightly smaller screen that's why), Asus is brighter, BenQ has better Dynamic contrast, though they have the same contrast (I think), same viewing angles.

There's not much of a difference tbh.

Apparently older BenQ models (of the XL2410T) had issues with colour reproduction and backlight bleeding, so if you get that monitor, make sure its a recent revision

Yes I was looking on Google for reviews etc. and there is many different opinion.

Also BenQ its LED and Asus its normal LCD.Also i heard that Asus had some problems with green colors.

I will buy monitor from Scan so i think that they have recent versions of both of them

Glad you picked that up, I'd forgotten. That was the one "risk" I thought I was taking with buying the ASUS. But I asked my mate (who has the same) and he'd bought it recently, said no green tint problem for him, so that gave me a confidence boost
smile.gif
And I've not noticed any green tint at all, so I think that''s a non issue now, as is any backlight bleeding (except a little near the buttons (bottom right). If you had the problem, then where you select the Warm/Cool colour presets, you can do that in RGB, and turn down the green a bit. But that's a non issue with the recent ones

I got mine from Tesco Direct, but I have a staff discount (part time job perk
biggrin.gif
)

Well it makes a difference, saves a huge amount when you want a TV or audio system or something similar
smile.gif
Came within a day of ordering too, so its OK service. Lots of hassle before that though
biggrin.gif

So how much you paid for it?Right now its 289.99(but you have staff discount
cool.gif
)

In Scan 248.68 and BenQ is for 261.89.

It was £289.99 + £5.00 delivery, so £294.99 subtotal.

Then a 10% discount, so I got it for £265.50, maybe £265.00.

Its a lot cheaper now, just browsing around, see it on LambdaTek for £235 inc del.
