New GPU doesn't seem to get power from PCI-E cables

Hi, so my new graphics card came today, a GTX780ti Phantom, and after hooking everything up, which I thought went fine, when booting up the system I get the message 'Please power down and connect the PCIe power cable(s) for this graphics card.'

I'm not sure what I've done wrong after checking each connection many times.

Any help is appreciated,

Thanks! :)

I haven't got another haha, I only just bought this one a couple of weeks back and that was because the other I've broke xD Is there any way I can test it otherwise? Haven't got any other components that use the PCIe slot though

Just go to your local Best Buy or any other electronics retailer and "rent" one. That's all I did when I didn't have a spare. And it's the best way to test, just buy a big one hook it up and you have between 15 to 30 days to test and come up with a conclusion then you return it.

did the gpu not come with the pci cable adapter so you can add straight to the a normal power supply

look like this just so you can try a different cable to see if it is pci from power pack

Sorry for the late reply, not sure if renting a PSU is a thing in the UK but will phone around on Monday to see! Haven't had a chance throughout the week because of work etc :(

Again, sorry for the late reply. Yeah, it did but I think that may be the problem, one of the pins seems to slip out relatively easily so going to try find another one on Monday, hopefully I'll figure this all out xD

If one of the pins is popping out, pull it out fully, and on 2 sides you'll see a couple of fins, that hold it in the connector, just pull them both out a bit, then pop it back in.

Why are you using the Molex to PCI connector doesn't your psu have the right connectors needed ? Or did you just try that as well as the psu cables ?
