New build soon

Hi everyone !

First time posting on this forum - discovered this website whilst researching for my upcoming build and coming across TTL's amazing reviews and videos. This forum is a gold mine of information and helpfulness so hopefully I can become a small part of that!

Let me start with my upcoming computer. I'm pretty much decided on my upcoming build but am open to feedback and modifications. I do have a question but will start by providing the build details :

- Corsair 650D
- Corsair AX650
- MSI z77a-GD65
- Core i5 3570k
- MSI GTX670 Power Edition
- 8GB Corsair Vengeance
- Corsair h100 - replacing default fans with 2 noctuas NF-F12s

I will be replacing the 650D's rear exhaust fan with a noctua nf-p14 and the front with a CM Megaflow (it's possible to cut the LED wires in order to disable them right?).

My question : is there a specific way I should be using the Nf-f12 with the H100? The reason I ask this is because of the way they are supposed to have a very focused flow - does this mean they're best used in a push configuration? Keep in mind I am only going with one set of Nf-f12s because I am not planning on going wild with overclocking - anything around 4.4 or 4.5Ghz at decent temps is fine.

Any kind of feedback/tips would be much appreciated! I am open to making modifications.

Thanx in advance!

Well, make sure you have the money on hand for when (well, i'll give it an 'if' for now :P) the SSD breaks.
You could save some money by getting the GD55, but the GD65 is a great motherboard, and you'll be pleased with it.
Also, the 650D is rapidly becoming what I find to be the most attractive case out at the moment - stunning :D
As for your question, the H100 with Noctuas are easily going to be able to yield a 4.5GHz overclock with good temps - just be prepared to get annoyed about how the GD65 makes you OC!

OCuk have a good deal on the 65 with RAM at the moment:

Otherwise the GD55 is actually more than you need really.

Great component selection by the way!

Having the fans in pull or push makes virtually no difference to temps (<1C typically).

Thanx for the feedback !

I might look into the GD55 but I like the idea of the 65 as I might be pushing the build further down the line. It's worth thinking about though.

That's good, makes my life easier. Was just wondering if I had to take the nature of the NF-F-12s into account.
