I recently decided to take my gaming rig and downsize it into a mitx. everything in the build was from my old build except the evga hadron case and the evga z77 stinger. I used my old rig this morning and it was working fine but after using the stinger I keep getting error 55 which according to the manual means that I havent installed the ram. I'll list all the parts I'm using in case this helps anyone diagnose:
evga hadron (stock psu)
evga z77 stinger
i7 3770k
gigabyte gtx 770 oc
samsung 840 pro ssd
seagate barracuda 7200 1tb
g.skill sniper gaming 1866 16gb (2 sticks of 8gb)
Noctua C14 for cpu cooling
Any Ideas what I should do from here? is this a doa product that should be returned or is there something I can do?
I really do need this thing up and running soon since I have a lot of work I have to get done on it and this laptop is kinda old and tends to be unreliable at times. thanks in advance.
edit: figured it out, apparently earlier versions of this motherboard had a bios that wasn't playing well with the ivy bridge processors. sigh... now have to wait for evga to ship me a new one.
