Thought you might be linking to the AW9D - looks like a nice Conroe board. Only thing i really dont like about it is the placement of some of the connectors (totally whack!)

How can it be external sata if its on the inside of your case?

e-SATA is normally mounted on the backplane like on the P5W and many other boards...

Presumably they want you to run the cable through an opening on the back of your case, but that's friggin ridiculous.

The P5W DH has a SATA connecter in the exact same place so it aint that bad

The reason it's there is because both sata ports (the one on the mobo blanking plate, and the one near the cpu socket) need to be in close proximity to eachother.

Personally i'd rather have both the SATA port on a pci blanking plate so i could get rid of them if they wern't needed.
