Any one have any opinions on these?

JBL Creature III

I have the previous models (Creature II) and I can only imagine that the successor is just as good if not better

I'm using Sony MHC EC909iP and they're a great set, not audiophile but they're still great plus you can get them with/without a sub I don't prefer them for music over my ATH m50's but they're nice for movies/games and when I don't feel like putting headphones on. However they are a little pricey.

There are also the speakers Tom did a review on a while ago microlabs I think he said they're releasing a smaller single 41/2in mid plus tweeter model called the 6cs or something.

Also AudioEngine make some good PC based speakers but they're more audiophile branded however some of their speakers are fairly priced.

But I would recommend (and wish I did this myself) building your own system i.e getting a pair of polk monitor series or whatever and a receiver.

As for my opinion on the logitech speakers I never really liked logitech speakers so my opinion is a little biased but I wouldn't buy them myself personally.

I like those audio engine ones

I am quite limited to room on my desk though, and I don't think they make those polka speakers anymore

My only advice is stay away from logitech, as an audiophile none of their systems satisfy my own personal standards. Unfortunatly in the speaker world, great sound, small size, huge volumes and value for money arnt often spoke about in the same sentence.

You handy with tools? Considered building your own speakers?

What's your budget?

I have no idea, I listen to a range of music, from acoustic to metal so good highs, mids and bass

I have X-Fi titanium sound if that helps (which also has THX specification which was why I was looking at the Logitechs)

Don't worry about THX specification. You will not be able to purchase a true thx certified system for 100 pound. A system with sparkling highs, focused midrange and a dynamic bass response won't be happening on your budget either. Your best bet is to simply try out as many systems as you can and purchase what you think sounds the best. I'd personally recommend staying away from any computer brand speakers and for the love of god don't buy anything with dr dre or beats written on it.

Trust me, I won't, beats headphones are atrocious, they are just for kids nowadays who think bass is the only thing in music

Edit*

sound advice anyway, thanks. I'll just listen to loads of them

Swans M50 if budget allows. Destroys logis/whatever.
EDIT: As someone mentioned never buy anything with dr. dre on it OR beats n shiz.

THX certification means NOTHING! It is just advertising. Having Dolby is more meaningful than THX, at least Dolby offers something other than a sticker.

Personally I would get the Klipsch Pro media 2.1. They are the best at that price.

No THX :p
