Network printing trouble over cascaded routers

Hello, I currently have a network setup that requires me to cascade a router to a modem router in order to connect to the internet. There is a printer connected to the modem router that I am trying to access from a computer connected to the router. However I can't connect to the printer or any device connected to the modem router from any device connected to the router. How do I set up my modem router and router so I can see devices on the modem router's network from devices on the modem's network and vice versa? And from that point hopefully connect my computer to the printer?

Are you using windows? and what version? They will all have to be on the same workgroup. Like Mshome, or whatever you decide to name it. And files, folders, and printers will have to be right clicked, and the check box marked to share on network.

Both the computer with the printer and the computer I was trying to print from are running Windows XP, although I also have my main rig running Windows 7 and a macbook with Snow Leopard on the same router as the computer I was trying to print from, all computers are joined to the same workgroup named 'Lee', the printer has also been setup with a shared name 'Study Printer'.
