Netflix lowers its pricing in over 30 countries to boost subscription numbers

I finally gave up on it last week. I've had it for years. I only use it once every month or two if that, yet keep on paying. I didn't mind this at £5. I also didn't mind at £7. By the end I was paying £9, and had downgraded to the crap one. Which looked like poo.
Sadly I wasn't prepared to keep paying whilst they pay douches like Harry and Meghan, whilst getting rid of all of the stuff I liked. They became too woke, too about BLM and all of the other political crap I detest.
They also never fixed the things I asked them to add. Or remove. Like the annoying thudding sound it makes when you log in, causing my sub to blow my flat apart even in the small hours, or their stupid auto play when you hover (usually going to an action scene that again made a load of unwanted noise) nor did they ever add the "I've watched this" tag to stop you getting 30 minutes into something before it dawns on you that you've already seen it. I both emailed them and phoned a few times asking about this but they just fobbed me off.
Why? So they can keep running the same crap for ages so it looks like they are adding content by pushing things on you that you have already seen. A crappy trick used by the terrestrial TV I stopped buying a license for three years ago for the same reasons.
I won't be going back even if they cut the price.

Well that was for the one user at once low res. It was about £13 for the one I had before.
I got a Crime channel on Amazon Prime for £3.99 a month and watch it daily. So NF can bugger off.

TBH I think it is dying.
I watched a video on it yesterday, and they have pretty much reversed into the complete opposite of what they used to be.
They are now offering a paid service where you can watch ads. I mean really.
The worst thing for me, absolutely without a doubt, is their continual pushing of politics. I am not racist, and I AM NOT a homophobe. However when I pay for something I don't expect to have what I have been watching on the news all bloody day to be rammed in my face there too. I just want to watch some good TV, without all of the BS.
The moment they let Harry and Smeghan on there it was over for me.
Any way going back to this video I watched. HBO and Disney are absolutely destroying them. By far. Mainly because they have probably avoided all of that crap and just given people good things to watch. And the options now are vast. There are several crime subs I can get on Prime and etc.
I used to love the crime stuff on there. It was fantastic. I also loved this.

I ditched them years back, i can download if i need too.
I think prime is good enough for me, music movies free delivery free twitch + games what more do i need plus if i want something super upto date i can go outside or buy it.
netflix has some good stuff but it's not enough for me to not get it else where the reason the fees went up is cause they wanted the budget for woke content the selection they have outside of there own content isn't any better and at times worse than prime.

I paid £3.99 a month for that with no ads. It was super.
This is why I buy my media and put it on my Plex Server.
No need to worry about price rises etc.
The only problem is that not everything is available that I want and when you can buy it digitally it's not always available to download like the stuff on Amazon, which is really annoying otherwise I buy a lot from there.

They were up to charging us almost 25 per month. We canceled last year before Christmas. The best thing I found was Paramount ran a holiday deal, $50 for a full year of ad free, or $25 for a year with ads. Together with Prime, I am good. HBO Max has a few good things, but not enough for me to pay monthly for.

It's ironic that they destroyed Blockbuster because Blockbuster were so far up their own ass that they ignored the competition and the threat, yet history is repeating itself and they will go exactly the same way.
NF problem is that they are not caring about the public opinion, and cancelling some outstanding shows, yet, they keep drivel like "too hot to handle"...
Basically NF has dumbed their catalogue down for the brain dead community knowing that they will binge on this trash.
So far Sky Showtime for me has been the best deal. I get their full catalogue for just £3.99 for life.

Are you sure it’s actually £3.99 for life and not being £3.99 due to having 50% for life instead? I know that both HBO and SkyShowtime had those deals. Never heard anyone that has the service for that cheap for life though.
Yes, that was literally the campaign in Norway, "subscribe now and pay 40nok for life". The deal is over though so any new subs will need to pay the regular price.

They are supporting politically vocal minorities. Not black people obviously, but any one with half a brain didn't give a crap what colour an actor was years ago. Because let's face it, Morgan Freeman and Samuel L really are the GOAT. I noticed one programme on there that was basically about the mafia. Only they were black. Which made absolutely no sense at all, given it never happened. NONE of my black family members have said they cared to rewrite history, and were all incredibly proud of their roots. Which you know? you would be, given it is who you are.
Then there are all these gay shows, and LGBT shows and so on. Forgetting that people like that are the minority, and maybe if they shouted loudly enough it would make them the majority somehow? IDK.
TBH? I find it all disgusting. Not in a bigoted sense, but clearly in the fact it was done purely to target people and advertise. For money.
Thankfully I think things are actually starting to change. And for the better, too. The majority who they have alienated for so long are cancelling them. Which is facking hilarious when you think about it.
But yeah, there is only so much money to be had milking the minority.

Many companies have tried to capitalise on it. Like the whole BLM/LGBT thing. What they have failed to realise is yeah, in the UK (as much as the racists hate it !) black people *are* the minority. They are massively outweighed by the white people. Same goes for lesbians, gays and trans. They make up a tiny portion compared to heterosexual people. Thing is for the past few years unless you did some digging you would have absolutely no idea just how small that minority is.
At first? every one I know fully supported it all. Because you know? they are good, decent people. I did. My cousin Mark is gay and his wedding was one of the best I have ever been to.
But slowly over time people just tend to get fed up with it being shoved in their face 24/7.
It's amazingly arrogant how much the news companies and companies like Netflix have been, failing to realise they are just alienating people.
I think the world has had enough drama over the past few years. For a while people really indulged themselves in said drama but I think now they have just had enough and want to enjoy their lives again.
And that is what most of it is drama. Which 99% of the male population totally wants to avoid. Being married is usually more than enough drama for any man tbh.
That was why I enjoyed Rust Valley Restorers so much. And "Fastest car". Both were cancelled by NF. They have just slowly smashed all of the fun out of their platform.
Dahmer was absolutely and utterly epic though. And so is Top Boy. But even that (Top Boy) has been threatened recently because they tried to make the meanest gangster in it gay, and he was having none of it.
I dunno man, the world has gone friggin mad !
