NES PC Build - Questions

Hey duders complete and utter noob to the forum but this is the first place I could think of to find guys to help out :D
(so I hope I'm posting in the right area)

Right so basically I want to build a HTPC into an old NES system (been done before but thought it would be cool to do myself)

I'm doing a lot of research into CPU TDP and looking at small PSU's like the Pico160 and basically what I want to know is if something like that would be suitable for what I want to power, list will be below...

Link to the Pico:

M/board: MSI H61I-E35/W8

CPU Choice 1: Intel Pentium G860 (65W TDP)
CPU Choice 2: Intel Pentium G630T (35W TDP)

HDD: most likely 120gb Corsair SSD

All I want it to do is just play Blu-Ray films, ect, don't need it for gaming or anything just pure movies. OS will either be XMBC or Win7, if that makes any difference :P

Anyways thanks guyss if you need any more info or anything just let me know :)

I know it's been a week since your post, but I haven't checked this forum before :)

Anyway: Welcome mate!

Considering the H61 chipset only has a TDP of a bit more than 6 W, you should be fine with either Intel CPU choice.

The A75 chipset has 7.8 W, and the APU 65 W, so that should be fine as well.

In both cases, I would try to make sure there's some decent airflow though.

As for whether or not they are powerful enough to do what you need, I'm really not an expert on any of these CPU's/APU's, so to be certain I'd recommend googling some benchmarks.

I was thinking about the airflow issue, I've installed some fans under where the original fins are on the top and I will be putting a couple in the bottom.

Mainly all I will be using it for is just blu-ray playback, nes emulators and probably PS1 and PS2 emulators, nothing to major as I've got a dedicated gaming rig for that.

My main aim for it is to look as orginal as possible but this is going to be a challenge I look forward to! :D

Thanks for the welcome mate, and when I get all parts ordered I will be posting a build log on it too! :)
