Im having a nightmare with this little combo at the moment!!

The MSI Neo2, 3500+ Winchester and OCZ Platinum 3200 Rev.2 (TCCD) work amazingly with the stock cooler, had them upto 225fsb with stock volts and 2-2-2-10.

However, after I'd got the Puppy running I thoughth.. C'mon is Mach II GT time!! I wanna see 3ghz! Then....

...Oh no!! either this Motherboard or this Winnie doesnt like the cold... It simply will not post with the Mach II cooling it! PC Fires up but no boot (cant ofter get to Bios either).

I havent tried flashing the Firmware yet for the Mach II to the 821 Firmware but I will. The reason I dont think the firmware is the issue is because I removed the evap head bu kept the Mach II connected to the PC. Turned the Mach II on, temp dropped to -33.c and then the PC started (I was cooling the CPU with a 92mm Tornado blowing straight at it - no HS ;)) and the little blighter boots without problem straight into Windows?????

Really strange!!

I know this board is OK with Subzero temps as Ive seen loads of you using it however, I wonder if the Winchester simply cant operate at them?

Anyone able to help??

I had this problem with my 3200 when I got it what I did was run my prommy up then unplugged the compressor when the temps went say to -15 the board would boot but then when I stuck the compreesor back on as soon as the prom hit -20 or below ie -30 the mobo/cpu would shut down in the end I gave up and bought a newcastle 3500:(

I may have to go to the Newcastles too then mate :(

Did you have to update your Prommie's Firmware to get the buggar to run then?

really annoying this is

I reckon this Winnie will clock to the moon aswell!!

Whats your opinion with this Neo2 then mate ??

About this well
