Yeah I noticed that... Had to look twice to make sure I read it right.

the demonstration, though very impressive, is only half-true.

I mean that quite literally, the video being rendered appears to be interlaced...so only half of the particles need to be rendered for each frame :/

30K particles is still nothing to sneeze at though...

I've decided to hold off building my next system until Nehalem. Between the lack of games that don't overpower my X2 system (other than Crysis, which I've already beaten twice), budget, and lack of upgradability, later this year is looking like a better time to build.

On one hand I feel sorry for AMD, but there's not much appeal for enthusiasts when even the latest Phenom doesn't beat the 6400+...

Yep if AMD don't come out with something better than Nehalem then I'd say wait for it, it'll be a beast
