Need Write-Protectable flash media

OCZ 8GB SDHC cards... I bought 2 of these about 6 months ago, and last month 1 failed on me (total data loss, unusable), and now the 2nd has gone the same way.

ebuyer have been good and replaced the first, but I havnt used it, and im hoping they will replace the 2nd but again, I wont be using it.

I need a reliable flash medium, that can be write-protected. Any ideas? All flash drives ive seen simply cant be "locked"

I cant really say that I've seen any either. Did you want it to be write-protected to avoid problems like on your OCZ drives (because that wont help)?

Ouch, have you tried a data recovery tool?

I managed to get >80% of my photos and docs back from a busted SD card with one.

Slightly more on topic, no, can't say i've seen any decent write protected media. Other than maybe CDr/DVDr, but that is probably not what you want.

Reason I need Write-Protection is mainly for virus infected PCs. I work in the day fixing pcs, so USB drives are obviously a necessary tool.

I'll probably end up buying 256MB/512MB SD Cards as they are dirt cheap these days, anyone know somewhere that does bulk packs of them by any chance?
