Hi Guys,
I am building a rig for myself where i have selected Intel core i7 4930k hexa core
And a mobo ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition
Ram i was about to select G.Skill Ripjaws 2400mhz,
But my dealer gave me this link
http://ark.intel.com/products/77780
where he told me that my CPU will support rams types of only DDR3-1333/1600/1866
and not the ones with 2400.
he told me that even if i buy a 2400mhz version it will not run at more than 1866mhz.
Now i want to understand that is what suggested by my dealer, >> true?
or the mobo will allow running of 2400 ripjaws at 2400mhz by using somthing called xmp feature, btw i am a total noob at all this hi tech OC features, but planning on to learning it step by step, but before that i want to finalise this RAM detail that i have to buy....thanks for the help that u will offer in advance...
