Need some help rebuilding old gaming rig...

OK guys, what I want to do is take my old gaming rig (don't worry I have a much nicer new one now) and turn it into an office PC. So I want to keep most of the old hardware, but put the PC in a much smaller, quieter case and update the software. Sound like a good idea?

The PC at the moment:

- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83 GHz

- 4GB of DDR2 RAM

- Some Asus ROG Motherboard, standard ATX size

- 2x Nvidia 9600GT SLI I think they are 1.5 GB each

- 700W PSU

- All in a Coolermaster Cosmos case

So as you can see it's a quite dated gaming PC which uses a ton of power and makes loads of noise which I now don't use for gaming anymore.

Can anyone recommend me (for about £200 maximum):

- A small and quiet case for this PC

- A new (preferably passive) graphics card, nothing fancy I was thinking this

- A good hard drive (about 500GB should be fine)

- Much lower wattage efficient power supply

I intend to keep the motherboard, processor and RAM, but ditch the 9600 GT's, old hard drive and PSU. The case is in really good nick, so I'll probably eBay it.

Thanks so much for any help

There are so many great budget oriented ATX mid sized cases, but I can always recommend a very decent case like the Fractal Design Core 3000. I think it's great for gaming and a good sized home office PC.

Hard drives are still expensive, but at the moment the WD 500GB Blue drive looks like a decent one that you may plan for.

The GT 520 will be great for an office PC; actually it's more than enough. It also works great if you have a small HTPC as well.

Since this system won't be needing a ton of power, a good 400 - 500W will be more than adequate.

Here's one that may interest you.

If you still have some of your budget left over, you could always add a few more fans to get a bit more airflow.
