Need help with platform! Stuck!

Hey guys,

So I am totally stuck on this one and need your help/advice here... Probably the dumbest question ever, but still...

The last year I've been running the i7 6850K with the ASRock X99-E ITX/AC motherboard. Now, it was on a bit of a sale the ASUS ROG X370-I STRIX motherboard, so got that with an AMD Ryzen 7 1700X.

Now I'm not sure wether to just keep my 6850K and return the 1700X. Since I haven't had any issues with it as far as I can remember.

Although, due to my case being the Dan Case A4 SFX, I don't have any fans except one on the radiator and 3 on the GPU itself (The GPU is EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 Elite Black).

One that sort of bugs me is that the 6850K is 140W TDP and the 1700X is just 95W.
Not sure how much of a difference that really is though?...

Another thing that gets me is the whole RAM and BIOS "issue"/updating with Ryzen.

I mostly just watch movies/series, Youtube, listen to Spotify and some light Photoshopping on my PC. Some Battlefield 3 and 4 might occur as well. Also thought of trying out PUBG as well.

Ohh, and I will also soon get the new Dell 34" Alienware AW3418DW monitor, just for information.

So not sure if there would be any difference between the 2 platforms in terms of what I do with my PC?... Probably overkill both of them.

So need your help here really; Keep my i7 system and return the Ryzen one. Or keep the Ryzen and sell the i7 system?

Thanks,
Dawelio
