Ok so i have had to return my Logitech G110. ive got ABOUT £40 to spend. I dont really game much but i do type a lot being a student. Ive looked into brown cherry mx switches but they are outside my budget. So please can you peeps suggest some keyboards! A good warranty, build quality (to an extent) and backlighting is what i look for. The keyboard will be mostly for typing! Oh and a volume control on the keyboard will also be a bonus.

Don't know how much they are over there but I can really recommend Corsair keyboards I use and love my K70 with cherry red switches very nice to type on as well as game with, worth saving up a little more to get.

they are over £100 i love the k70 but its about £120, trouble is I start my masters this month therefore all my money is gone lol ive got a £42 refund from amazon for the logitech g110 but need a decent replacement

roccat arvo is a good shout but I used to work at a computer store and i dont like the layout of the board specifically the arrow keys are in the numpad cluster. (I am a very picky person as you can tell :P) this is a difficult one!

I ran this for about 3 years.

Its not mechanical, and its by no means going to be of the level of quality of the aforementioned keyboards, but its cheap, really easy to clean and really quite durable.

Other than that, I'd have to agree that the K60 or K70 is probably my top pick. I picked up my K90 from ebay for £65, so if you dont mind used (and believe me, these things are so well built, once you've cleaned it you'd swear its new) then you might be able to pick up a bargain.

yeahhh thats what i have been looking at. i was looking to buy the logitech g110 again but prices have gone up. think ill go to my local computer store and try the x4 out dont think they have the gigabyte in. ill get back to you guys once ive done that

so i went and got the sidewinder x4. for £31.00 its really good! imo the keys feel better than the g110 the wrist rest slopes down a bit too much doesnt actually support my wrists that much. size wise its fine for me! comes with 3 years warranty as well so thats a bonus. clever thing it also has is a dedicated calculator button above the numpad!

thanks for the inputs people! my little problem has been solved. Cheers!

Yeah, the wrist rest is pretty crap TBH, you have to mind your hands too cos they're quite sharp on the edges, I do miss the calculator button though, and the Macros seem to be much more robust than on the k90; make sure to get the software for it.
