Hey guys I need some tips or advice on overclocking my i7 3930k. I have an X79 Sabertooth ASUS motherboard and 16gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 1.5v RAM and my cpu cooler is a Noctua NH-D14 SE2011, I will soon have a Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E cooler though. My motherboard is updated to the newest bios version and everything is currently set on stock in the bios. I have had my processor overclocked on auto before and I played around with manual settings with a 4.4ghz overclock but I never could get it to be 100% stable. It seemed to run fine for the most part but when I started to record a video or livestream, maybe an hour in I might get a bsod. I set the ram settings according to what they showed, changed a few of the digi power control settings and I turned the antisurge protectant off. I played with lots and lots of volt settings from 1.3-1.4 and never could find a good one to leave it on. When I set my processor on 4.4ghz and just leave it on auto, my voltage is 1.39-1.4 and my temps run in the high 60s and 70c sometimes when I'm livestreaming in 1080p. I'd like to get as good temps as possible but I need some help with manually overclocking!

Hi there,
sometimes you have to put your volts up to get it stable, and if that doesnt suit you then turn your clock down, put volts up to where it is stable and and a bit for the future as you need to add more volts at a later date always, so add an extra 0.05-0.1 volts ontop of stable volts just for the future (in my opinion but you dont have to)
thats how i would go.
Hope it helps.
