Made sure of that before I even started playing. 360 pad and wheel (DFGT) were both near useless.

oryt thats odd i heard alot of the issues were fixed regarding that,i bet you are uste to playing forza?

No, don't have an xbox. I play all sorts of PC racing games such as Race07/GTR:Evo, GRID, DiRT 2, TOCA 3, Burnout Paradise, LFS and more. I've played NFS games in the past too.

If anyone has an idea of the exact settings to use with a Logitech Driving Force GT, I'd be grateful, and I'd give it yet another chance as it's a pretty game at least.

i think it will be very good once its out of beta an maybe patched once or twice,it needs the graphics sorted IMO and the handleing also the traffic as that is a joke

I didn't have the technical problems with SHIFT, but I just couldn't for the life of me make the cars behave like cars. They slip and slide and pivot all over the track, the game is impossible like that. I think it must be some sort of control bug because a lot seem to get on fine, and I've got loads of driving games and never had a problem like that. So I've only done about 2 races on shift, turned out to be a waste of money for me too, but for different reasons.

When I played the hacked version which actually worked it ran. The proper paid for version would just freeze on the loading screen. Nothing fixed it either..

The handling is all set up at the start though. You do a test lap and depending on how good you are it will offer some settings. From there you can modify it to suit you and then you just have to follow the racing lines
